Businesses in Cirencester are about to receive a welcome boost if figures for a similar scheme in Gloucester are anything to go by.

According to the Office of National Statistics since it opened in 2014 the city business support and advice centre The Growth Hub has helped increase turnover of firms by £20million.

Some 7,934 companies have benefitted from the guidance and business acumen of its staff and 900-plus high-growth companies have received intensive support to help them achieve their goals.

And those figures are out of date as of January this year, which means you can increase all of the above.

All of which helps explain the growing excitement about the soon to open Cirencester Growth Hub, due to open for the first time on July 2.

Local enterprises will be welcome to come and use the space ahead of the official opening later in the month. It is also a chance to enjoy the facilities for free, as from August there will be a membership model introduced for the co-working, office and meeting room services.

Business support will be remain fully funded, courtesy of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Aiming to replicate the Gloucester Hub’s model – a space which allows businesses to come together in a relaxed and professional environment, Cirencester Growth Hub will offer meeting rooms, 21 co-working desks, three offices, regular workshops and networking events, three hours of business support for moderate growth businesses and 12 hours of business support for high growth businesses.
