Nook receives official recognition as an internationally Certified Autism Resource

We have always been driven to design in support of neurodiverse minds – this was our founding aim as a business. So, to receive official recognition of our work from an established authority in the field of autistic support makes us especially proud.

The Certified Autism Resource status has been awarded to Nook by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCESS), a body that delivers the global standard for training and certification in the areas of autism and other cognitive disorders. Its series of certifications empower professionals to be leaders in their field and improve the outcomes for the individuals they serve.

Supporting people across the globe

Nook now joins a hand-picked selection of resource partners promoted to the Certified Autism Resources’ network of therapists, educators, and parents, providing these professionals with the knowledge and access to products and services they need.

Built on the foundations of the most successful neuro-happy workspaces, Nook manages acoustics, allows the user to control lighting, and provides a personal withdrawal space which does not isolate. Our Sensory Nook spaces take things a step further, creating an encapsulated environment to positively influence mood and reduce challenging behaviours.

We have had some incredible, moving feedback from neurodiverse individuals and their families over the years. Now, this formal accreditation will further drive awareness of our mission, helping us to reach and support many more people across the globe. This really feels like an acknowledgement of all of the hard work and commitment that has gone into building Nook. In tandem with our customers, we’re changing workspaces and venues for the better.
